Energy Manager monitors the organization's energy usage. Develops and implements practices and procedures designed to reduce energy consumption and/or improve efficiency of usage. Being an Energy Manager prepares annual budgets associated with conservation programs. May research alternative/renewable energy technologies and determine their feasibility and cost-effectiveness. Additionally, Energy Manager requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The Energy Manager work is generally independent and collaborative in nature. The CCES Workforce Education & Training Center is focused on helping California meet its climate goals and strengthen energy security through education and training. The Workforce Education & Training Center will address 5 key areas:

- Workforce Development
Requirements:
- Must be 18 years old or older
- Entry level experience with tools
- Basic knowledge of building systems and energy concepts is a plus
- Interest in hands-on career in the building trades
- Interest in energy efficiency and sustainability
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Punctual, willing to learn
- Clean driving record preferred
