Energy Representative is responsible for providing energy efficiency advice to customers. Develops, communicates, and monitors programs related to energy efficiency, sustainability, waste management, and environmental impact. Being an Energy Representative develops and distributes educational material; evaluates and recommends alternatives to existing systems or processes. May require a bachelor's degree in area of specialty. Additionally, Energy Representative typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. To be an Energy Representative typically requires 2 to 4 years of related experience. Gains exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function. THE ROLE
PEG is searching for motivated individuals who demonstrate a commitment and enthusiasm for Energy Efficiency, Energy Sustainability, and Building Energy Performance of New Residential Construction. This position requires you to become a certified HERS Rater. Learn more at www.resnet.us.
In this position, new employees will be provided with paid on the job training that will prepare them to perform Home Energy Audits in accordance with RESNET Guidelines. This will include visual inspections of materials, data collection and visual observation of energy efficient features, and the utilization of equipment to test system performance.

The geographical area assigned to this position includes a 100-mile radius with Charlottesville, VA at its center.
