Position: Guest Engagement Coordinator
Status: Part-Time (25 hours/week)

Description Summary
The Guest Engagement Coordinator will ensure that guests, attendees, and anyone who calls PV their church home are warmly greeted, generously hosted, and intentionally connected so that they may move along the assimilation pathway towards full engagement.
The Guest Engagement Coordinator should demonstrate a vibrant relationship with Christ because he/she will interact with individuals with diverse spiritual backgrounds, handle sensitive information appropriately, work closely with various ministries, and be loyal to the mission/vision/leadership of Pleasant Valley Baptist Church.
The primary responsibility of this role is strategically organizing & supporting the Guest Engagement volunteer Ministry Leaders and Ministry Partner teams. This individual will be expected to be able to work during key program times, prioritizing weekend worship services.
These teams include: Greeters (Parking Lot Greeters, Exterior Door Greeters) Ushers, Hosts (Welcome Hosts, Section Hosts, Next Steps Center Hosts, Guest Connect Hosts), and Cafés (Global Café & Lower Commons Café).

Job Responsibilities
1. Ensure a culture of exceptional guest engagement by equipping and leading volunteer Ministry Leaders and Ministry Partners.
- Support & prioritize a team of Guest Engagement volunteer Ministry Leaders in their efforts scheduling ministry partners mostly for Sunday morning services. Other possible events include non-Sunday holiday services, Wednesday evening semester studies, and more.
- Café operational support.
- Support the Café Ministry Leader in the food/beverage/supply ordering process
- Responsible for tracking and following appropriate accounting procedures related to budgets.
- Be an active leader during key program times (prioritizing weekend services) by coming alongside Guest Engagement Ministry Leaders and Ministry Partners. Promptly respond to Guest Engagement related questions/needs that are received and offer follow up communication as needed.
- Ensure all essential supplies are well stocked so ministry teams are prepared for weekend services.
- Be willing to coordinate periodic training and seasonal fire drill/emergency evacuation meetings.
2. Develop and execute ministry partner recruiting, training, and appreciation strategies.
- Actively provide opportunities for PVers to learn about Guest Engagement serving roles and offer a clear path to begin serving.
- Ensure newer ministry partners are onboarded effectively and all ministry partners are provided opportunities to develop the core competencies required to excel in their role.
- Develop ways to express gratitude for serving and highlight models of exemplary service.

Education / Experience
● One year of administrative experience
● High school diploma or equivalent
● Prefer two years of previous ministry experience as a paid staff member or key ministry team leader
