    Job Description Summary:
    The University of Kansas Alzheimer's Disease Research Center (KU ADRC) is a National Institute of Aging P30-designated national leader in AD research with the vision to impact the lives of every patient and family dealing with Alzheimer's in the region and across the state of Kansas through our research, education, and clinical care. We are a comprehensive center at the forefront of clinical trials, lifestyle intervention trials, drug and translational research, and basic science research. Our research enables us to also provide leading edge clinical care and support for dementia caregivers. In addition, we provide a wide variety of both public education and training opportunities for the workforce of tomorrow.

    The Community Engagement Coordinator is responsible for coordinating, facilitating, and promoting educational and community events that advance the efforts of the ADRC. This position coordinates with the Cognitive Care Network team (CCN) to work with both existing and developing alliances in expanding dementia-related education and services.

    Required Qualifications :
    Bachelor's degree or equivalent years of related working experience
    Three (3) or more years of experience in event planning, communications, marketing, and social media.
    Public presentation experience
    Experience in community outreach
    Experience working with ethnically, racially, or geographically diverse or underserved populations.
    Strong verbal and written skills
    Detail-orientated
    Ability to meet timelines within a team environment
    Proficient in Microsoft office suite
    Competency in scheduling virtual meetings and events
    Ability to adapt, learn and be flexible
    Valid driver's license for occasional in-state travel and evening/weekend responsibilities based on education events

    Preferred Qualifications:
    Master's degree
    CRM database experience
    Newsletter creation and distribution experience
    Functional user database experience
    Experience interacting with individuals and families facing dementia
    Demonstrated ability to meet target goals/outcomes
    Fluent in reading, speaking, and writing in Spanish

    Job Duties:
    Help to plan, coordinate, promote, facilitate, manage logistics, and registration of the education programs for the CCN and KU ADRC. Track and evaluate efforts to share and consider for future planning.

    Serve as the primary CRM Vibrent database administrator for the CRM
    Organize the content for the MyAlliance Newsletter
    Schedule MyAlliance Weekly webinar presenter
    Edit and post the weekly webinar
    Oversee MyAlliance Network subscriptions
    Document MyAlliance activity, CCN education/statistics in REDCap's Outreach, promotions, and Engagement Tracking tool and send regularly scheduled reminders to ADRC staff to ensure timely documentation
    Create a collective ADRC newsletter
    Collaborate with the Director of Engagement and other ADRC employees to plan education events
    Create and distribute an education calendar
    Host and facilitate education events, including logistical arrangements, promotion of the events, and sending reminder messages to attendees/presenters
    Plan and host educational events for KU ADRC faculty
    Work with the Director of Engagement to create marketing/communication/social media promotional campaigns and materials for MyAlliance, LEAP, and other educational events
    Represent the KUMC ADRC at community events to promote the ADRC services
    Work alongside the CCN team to build community relationships, create partnerships, and collaborate to promote ADRC services
    Represents ADRC to share our services at various community events
    Oversee and orchestrate the relationship stewardship of community partnerships
    Record community and education event campaign metrics
    Other duties as requested by supervisor
