JOB SUMMARY
Supporting students from recruitment through enrollment and graduation, this position plays a key role in the recruitment and retention of Hispanic students. The Coordinator serves as a liaison to prospective students, families, school staff, and community partners, as well as provides outreach and engagement for current NSU students. Success in this position contributes to the successful recruitment of students, as well as the successful engagement and retention of students.
Major Duties
Recruits Hispanic students through oral presentations, college and career fairs, written and electronic communications, and individual contacts. Plans, organizes, and supervises recruitment events.
Maintains relationships with prospective students, families, high school counselors, and transfer partners. Provide outreach to and establishes collaborative relationships with local community organizations, area employers, and non-profit partners. Represents the university in a positive and professional manner.
Provide guidance to Hispanic students from recruitment through enrollment, assist students in making critical transitions, and developing connections at the University.
Develops campus-wide partnerships with departments and organizations to support retention efforts for Hispanic student populations.
Coordinate initiatives that engage and increase engagement, retention and degree completion for Hispanic students.
Serve as liaison for recognized student organizations that serve Hispanic students. Assist with development of collaborative programming.
Plans and executes student programming
Serves on assigned committees.
Develops and maintains publications.
Gathers and maintains current knowledge of university programs and services.
Coordinates travel schedule to assigned recruitment territory, including travel to college fairs, high schools, and scholarship awards ceremonies.
This position is based on the Broken Arrow campus but requires frequent travel to all campuses, as well as statewide and regional recruitment travel.
Performs related duties as assigned.

SUPERVISORY CONTROLS
The Assistant Vice President for Enrollment Management assigns work in terms of program goals and objectives. The supervisor reviews work through conferences, reports, and observation of program activities. This position has a dual reporting line, with the Assistant Vice President for Enrollment Management providing primary supervision and the Associate Director of Recruitment providing supplemental supervision.

The work consists of varied management duties, as well as coordination of activities and programs. The variety of tasks to be managed contributes to the complexity of the position.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS/ WORK ENVIRONMENT
The work is typically performed while sitting at a desk or table or while intermittently sitting, standing, or stooping. The employee occasionally lifts light objects.

This position requires frequent travel.
SUPERVISORY AND MANAGEMENT RESPONSIBILITY
None.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Knowledge and level of competency commonly associated with the completion of a bachelor’s degree in a course of study related to the occupational field.
Ability to communicate in Spanish.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including public speaking.
Possession of or ability to readily obtain a valid driver’s license issued by the State of Oklahoma for the type of vehicle or equipment operated.
Must be capable of maintaining regular attendance.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience working with high school or college students.
Annual salary $36,444.00 with excellent benefits, including generous leave time.
