Engineering Manager manages all engineering activities within a department including design, development, production and testing. Implements and maintains overall engineering objectives and initiatives. Being an Engineering Manager confronts and solves performance/operational issues to improve development efficiency. Leads and develops the engineering team. Additionally, Engineering Manager oversees a robust project management process and delivery timelines to keep projects on schedule and on budget. Requires a bachelor's degree in engineering or related discipline. Typically reports to a director. The Engineering Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be an Engineering Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required.     Our client, one of the most important companies in the Pet Food Industry, is seeking a Project Engineering Manager

    Job Title: Project Engineering Manager
    Location: Jefferson, WI (ONSITE)

    Key Responsibilities

    • Assist in development of pre-project approval documents including project charter, project management plan, project kick start, estimate and milestone schedule creation.

    • Monitor design progress and deliverables are met in adherence to established project key components.

    • Receive design details from design team with full understanding of project deliverables to coordinate bid package development and release for construction bidding and field execution.

    • Select contractors and contracting methods based on engineering ways of working methodology.

    • Direct and execute installation, construction and commissioning of assigned projects.

    Requirements

    • Minimum 3 years experience.

    • Process/Food manufacturing project experience.

    • Experience in execution of construction management, scheduling, cost planning, tracking cost, stakeholder communication, capital project management, managing contractors and teams, bidding, startups, commissioning.

    • Scheduling software knowledge (P6 or Project), Cost Reporting and trending through project management tools and Microsoft Excel.
