Engineering Manager jobs in Salisbury, NC
Engineering Manager manages all engineering activities within a department including design, development, production and testing. Implements and maintains overall engineering objectives and initiatives. Being an Engineering Manager confronts and solves performance/operational issues to improve development efficiency. Leads and develops the engineering team. Additionally, Engineering Manager oversees a robust project management process and delivery timelines to keep projects on schedule and on budget. Requires a bachelor's degree in engineering or related discipline. Typically reports to a director. The Engineering Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be an Engineering Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required. YOUR ROLE- Engineering Manager is responsible for management of all engineering, functions at the Henkel Salisbury facility.
- Manages the engineering staff to deliver a safe working environment, processes that result in quality products that have been optimized for maximum efficiency and productivity (in this order).
- This individual is a key contributor to the site management team for building a site culture of teamwork, accountability, and communication.
- Building the pipeline and skilled engineers, and management resources.
- Evaluates and allocates facility’s and company’s resources to accomplish facility and corporate objectives within established budgets.
- Owns the strategic plan for future site, utility, and production planning.
