Job Description: The Billing Clerk will have the responsibility of creating invoices and credit memos, updating customer files; collaborating with other departments including shipping and sales. As a Billing Clerk you must be accurate, reliable, and detail oriented in handling accounts and documents. This is an entry-level position for the right candidate to gain valuable experience. You will report to management and must be able to work as a team in an office environment. The goal is to contribute to the accurate preparation of invoices for our customers.
Responsibilities include:
· Issue invoices and bills and send them to customers through various channels (EDI, e-mail etc.)
· Check the data input in the accounting system to ensure accuracy of the invoices
· Reconcile sales order records with shipping documents to ensure clients are billed correctly
· Issue customer account statements periodically or whenever necessary
· Update accounting records with new payments, balances, customer information etc.
· Use accounting software and electronic billing systems to review data, correct discrepancies, and reconcile accounts appropriately
Requirements:
· High school diploma, further education is a plus
· Must have excellent attention to detail
· Must have sharp listening skills
· Must be a quick learner to understand the implications of additional information, such as contractual obligations or discount offers with customers
· Must have exceptional organizational skills
· Knowledge of Microsoft Office preferred
