ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Establish, assign and monitor the progress of goals and other tasks for the Enterprise Systems department, meeting established department and annual plan completion dates.
- Ensure that the credit union’s enterprise IT architecture (servers, server operating systems and applications) are installed, configured and maintained in accordance with credit union policies and industry best practices.
- For assigned projects, acts as primary coordinator and liaison between the credit union and its vendors during the installation and implementation phases of new technology products or services. This may include, but is not limited to, the items listed below. Specific responsibilities for a given project will depend, in part, on whether the Enterprise System Manager is the project leader or a team member and whether a Project Manager is assigned to facilitate the project.
- Setting up product demonstrations for departments that will be using new products.
- Coordinate setting new products up in a test environment and the testing of the new products by all departments affected.
- Assist the affected departments in setting up user controls and integrating the product into departmental policies and procedures.
- Writing procedures and training IT Daily Operations staff to assume support for new products and services once installation is complete.
- Coordinate between credit union staff, the Information Technology Department and vendors for the resolution of issues that arise following installation of a new technology product or service.
- Provide second tier support to the IT Daily Operations department, credit union employees and members.
- Ensures that IT Help Desk cases assigned to members of the Enterprise Systems department are consistently acted on and updated in a timely manner.
- Ensures that Change Requests are consistently entered, updated and monitored.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Community service is required of all management staff. While some may occur during work hours with manager permission, some must also occur outside of normal working hours, at a minimum of twice per year. Community service is defined as serving on a non-profit board of directors, volunteer participation in fundraisers for social services (other than occupying a seat at a Credit Union 1 paid for table), and participation in other social services events. In addition, attendance at management mandated events will be required.
- Meets the current standards as established for the department in the completion of all assigned duties.
- Responsible for department’s participation in every aspect of the Record Retention program. This includes the creation, identification, use, storage, and destruction in accordance with the policy.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must be a high school graduate or equivalent. A degree in computer science, professional certification or four years job experience in a comparable position is also required.
- Organizational and follow up skills required for tracking issues and resolution.
- Must possess a broad range of knowledge relating to the various functional areas in a financial institution including lending, operations, accounting and electronic services.
- Must have good written and verbal communication skills and the ability to deal effectively with credit union personnel at all levels as well as outside vendors.
- Must be able to work independently. Work schedule is flexible and will be subject to change to accommodate the needs of the credit union.
- Responsible for abiding and complying with the policy for compliance with the Bank Secrecy Act and anti-money laundering laws and regulations (BSA/AML) and the policy for compliance with office of foreign assets control laws and regulations (OFAC).
Please note: Credit Union 1 does not provide relocation assistance. If selected for an on-site position, candidates will be responsible for relocating to Alaska prior to the agreed upon start date at their own expense.
