Enterprise Infrastructure Director manages and coordinates the information systems that will adequately support the organization's enterprise infrastructure. Monitors and manages all IT infrastructure projects to meet company and client needs. Being an Enterprise Infrastructure Director determines current and future enterprise infrastructure needs, ensuring the scalability of infrastructure design to handle expected growth. Implements policies and procedures to maintain, enhance, and secure an organization's technology infrastructure. Additionally, Enterprise Infrastructure Director is responsible for monitoring the systems to ensure the highest level of infrastructure performance. May assist in network interface planning, hardware resource availability, and the development of new applications. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Enterprise Infrastructure Director typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. To be an Enterprise Infrastructure Director typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience.     The Position:

    The Director of Infrastructure and Information Security, reporting to the Vice President of Information Technology, will play an integral role in growing and maturing our business through designing, implementing, and supporting high-performing and secure solutions. The ideal candidate will be a proven IT leader with experience managing highly secure and highly available public and private cloud environments. This is a hands-on technical role responsible for managing a small infrastructure team. This position requires an individual with a flexible and dynamic approach to problem-solving and the ability to coordinate multiple tasks and priorities.

     

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    ·        Provide governance and day-to-day leadership for infrastructure (hardware, networks, virtualization, servers, etc.) and security practices at the firm.

    ·        Willingness and ability to lead a small team of engineers from the trenches, serving as both a leader and senior, hands-on, engineer.

    ·        Manage daily operations of the organization’s SOC / NOC / on-call teams.

    ·        Manage a team of engineers to ensure the team provides top-of-line service to the organization and its clients.

    ·        Lead incident response efforts for all infrastructure and security-related system-impacting events.

    ·        Mature the existing security program, including infrastructure and applications, to ensure they exceed security frameworks and industry standards.

    ·        Use a DevOps approach to managing the team: look for opportunities to automate, add value from open-source tooling, and work with the development team to mature its CICD practices.

    ·        Manage critical infrastructure and security-related vendors and participate in procurement efforts for new technologies, tools, and services.

    ·        Execute internal and external network vulnerability scans, PEN tests, etc., to ensure the organization is aware of its vulnerabilities.

    ·        Help lead compliance efforts alongside the Director of GRC, which involves yearly SOC 1 and MARS-E audits.

    ·        Interface with business partners and clients to represent the organization for all things related to security operations and infrastructure.

    ·        Monitor legal and industry developments affecting security controls, monitoring, and strategy.

     

     

    Qualifications

    ·        Five or more years of experience managing security operations and infrastructure teams in a highly regulated industry (health care, health insurance, financial services, etc.)

    ·        Ten or more years of hands-on experience working in a multi-domain Windows environment

    ·        Three or more years of experience hosting highly available SaaS platforms

    ·        Five or more years of experience managing a multi-location private cloud

    ·        Five or more years of experience leading SOC/NOC and on-call teams

    ·        Three or more years participating in third-party security and privacy audits

    ·        Three or more years managing Infrastructure automation practices

    ·        Five or more years of experience identifying, building, and remediating security and privacy controls

    ·        Five or more years using agile project management principles to manage infrastructure and security projects

    ·        Experience working in a matrixed environment with a variety of technology and business teams

    ·        Ability to influence teams and drive organizational change around infrastructure and security efforts

    ·        Firm understanding of cloud technology and service-oriented architecture

    ·        US Citizen
