JOB SUMMARY 

We are searching for a dynamic, strategic Global Director of Finance to join our growing team. Reporting directly to the Avail Chief Finance Officer, with a strong dotted line to the WSI Group VP, this position is responsible for product line finance activities ensuring optimal support through the development of a strong finance team, processes, and systems. The ideal candidate will provide strategic l business partnership and serve as a key member of our leadership team.  
 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

• Manage month-end financial close process to ensure complete and accurate product line income statement and balance sheet. Lead site accounting and finance activities including developing processes and practices that ensure compliance with corporate accounting policies and standards. 

•  Prepare financial analysis, performance reports, and business-driven commentary that identify opportunities and drive action.  

• Administer timely forecasting cycles, strategic business plans, annual budgets and business outlooks consistent with Corporate schedules. Provide fact-based advice to the value stream leaders. 

• Provide support regarding decisions to optimize service offerings, inventory, and asset resources. Analyze and prioritize sales opportunities, appropriate distribution channels, freight, rebates, commissions, operations capacity, etc. 

• Assist with continuous process improvement of value stream Lean deployment, global sourcing, make vs buy, Capex return analysis, and alignment to the defined strategy. Partners with management to increase efficiency and profitability, as needed. 

• Supervise the preparation and maintenance of product standard costs; ensures cost standardization principles are applied. 

• Manage and develop global finance teams located in Brazil and Europe including hiring, training, coaching, goal-setting and performance management. 

• Perform other duties as required. 

PROFILE LEVEL DESCRIPTION

• Thorough knowledge of financial and legal best practices and requirements with a proven ability to provide sound and ethical financial counsel to executive leadership.

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE 

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required; MBA preferred. 

• Certified Public Accountant status highly desired. 

• At least ten years of experience in the financial function of a company required. Experience in a global finance role preferred. 

• Proficient in MS Excel with experience in financial ERP systems (Oracle, Hyperion, Business Intelligence) 

• Proven track record of success facilitating progressive organizational change and development within a growing organization.
