Enterprise Infrastructure Manager manages and coordinates the information systems that will adequately support the organization's enterprise infrastructure. Monitors and manages all IT infrastructure projects to meet company and client needs. Being an Enterprise Infrastructure Manager determines current and future enterprise infrastructure needs, ensuring the scalability of infrastructure design to handle expected growth. Implements policies and procedures to maintain, enhance, and secure an organization's technology infrastructure. Additionally, Enterprise Infrastructure Manager is responsible for monitoring the systems to ensure the highest level of infrastructure performance. May assist in network interface planning, hardware resource availability, and the development of new applications. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Enterprise Infrastructure Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be an Enterprise Infrastructure Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required.     This key position is located within the Advanced Technology organization at the PACCAR Technical Center. The Advanced Technology team is leading R&D projects in strategic technology domains including clean Diesel powertrains, Battery Electric Vehicles, Fuel-Cell Electric Vehicles, Charging Infrastructure, Autonomy and V2X Connectivity. Most of the team’s activities are incorporated into Department of Energy funded programs from which the PACCAR SuperTruck 3 program is the largest.

    This role will support tool development and life-cycle analysis (LCA) evaluations of future vehicle and infrastructure technologies based on field deployment and high-fidelity simulations. Work will be performed with Argonne National Laboratories, leveraging their experience and LCA tools to calculate key elements such as Green-house Gas emissions and Total Cost of Ownership.

    Job Functions / Responsibilities


    • Develop and manage data-driven analytical models for system LCA to enable a better understanding and prediction of GHG emissions, total cost of ownership, and 2nd-life, and recycling opportunities for batteries
    • Maintain and tailor LCA models to PACCAR division needs and perform benchmarking on tools available from competitors.
    • Collaborate with industry and research partners to exchange and disseminate relevant knowledge related to the development and evaluation of new technologies at the system and component levels.
    • Work with cross-divisional teams to manage the evaluation of new technology readiness levels (TRL), lead technical reviews, and explore opportunities to bring such technologies to fruition.
    • Communicate results and recommendations to team and stakeholders on a regular basis and cooperate with cross-divisional and external counterparts.
    • Keep abreast of emerging technologies, tools, and methods. Explore implications for PACCAR and automotive industry in general.

    Qualifications


    • 5 years or more experience in automotive research, preferably in commercial vehicles with focus on Zero-emission-Vehicles and/or powertrain systems.
    • In-depth programming skills in Python, C , Matlab, or similar.
    • Demonstrated experience in performance and big-data analysis.
    • Demonstrated experience in Life Cycle Analysis methods and best practices.
    • Previously demonstrated analysis, and communication skills.
    • Strong interpersonal skills, be a self-starter and have demonstrated high levels of initiative and innovation.

    Education


    Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering or Engineering Physics discipline
