Env., Health, and Safety Engineer implements and maintains company policies adhering to local, state and federal environmental, health and safety regulations. Involved in the design and development of facilities, work areas and work procedures and makes environmental, health and safety recommendations accordingly. Being an Env., Health, and Safety Engineer is responsible for preparing, maintaining, and updating environmental policy and procedure manuals. Ensures compliance with all environmental, health and safety regulations, and keeps abreast of any changes to laws and regulations that impact the organization. Additionally, Env., Health, and Safety Engineer serves as contact with all federal, state, and local regulatory bodies. May require a bachelor's degree in area of specialty. Typically reports to a supervisor. To be an Env., Health, and Safety Engineer typically requires 0-2 years of related experience. Works on projects/matters of limited complexity in a support role. Minimum requirements:- Associate degree in Occupational OR, Health/Safety, Core Science OR Engineering Technology
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Ability to use standard office equipment, such as computers, copiers, fax machines, scanners, telephone, and office automation systems.
- Two years of experience working in an Occupational Health OR Industrial Hygiene related medical field OR must have formal college/vocational school education and hold a certification issued by Occupational Health and Safety Technologist Certification (OHST) OR the Board of Certified Safety Professionals (BCSP).
- One year experience using basic sampling equipment to include detection tubes/chips, personal air samplers and calibrators, sound level meters, noise dosimeters, and environmental sampling equipment is required.
