Construction Health and Safety Professional | Fair Lawn, NJ

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement safety programs
• Issue and supervise hazardous work permits
• Conduct Pre-Task Planning, including JSAs, Safety Plans of Action (SPAs), Crane Lift Plans, etc.
• Perform site safety audits and inspections
• Provide oversight for high-risk work, such as hot work, elevated work, hazardous energy control/LOTO, line break, core drilling, trenching/excavation, confined space entry, crane lifts, etc.
• Monitor dust and perimeter noise levels

Requirements:

• 5-10 years of construction EHS experience required
• Degree in Occupational Safety & Health or similar studies preferred
• Third-party certifications (i.e., CHST, CSP) preferred
• Experience is hazardous waste sites and environmental compliance, trenching / excavations, confined space entries, ground-up construction, MEPs, crane lifts
• HAZWOPER 40 hour preferred
• OSHA 510 and OSHA 500 recommended
• OSHA 3015 preferred
• Highly-organized, strong communicator, effective in subcontractor management, site audits / inspections, and reports.
