Env., Health, and Safety Engineer implements and maintains company policies adhering to local, state and federal environmental, health and safety regulations. Involved in the design and development of facilities, work areas and work procedures and makes environmental, health and safety recommendations accordingly. Being an Env., Health, and Safety Engineer is responsible for preparing, maintaining, and updating environmental policy and procedure manuals. Ensures compliance with all environmental, health and safety regulations, and keeps abreast of any changes to laws and regulations that impact the organization. Additionally, Env., Health, and Safety Engineer serves as contact with all federal, state, and local regulatory bodies. May require a bachelor's degree in area of specialty. Typically reports to a supervisor. To be an Env., Health, and Safety Engineer typically requires 0-2 years of related experience. Works on projects/matters of limited complexity in a support role.     JOB SUMMARY

    The Safety Lead provides technical safety and health support in the workplace to promote and ensure employee compliance with applicable safety regulations.

    WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING?

    • Coordinate, develop and direct the EHS efforts in the SISPRO system
    • Implement and follow up on SISPRO procedures and Emergency Responses
    • Evaluate the PPE administration
    • Administer evaluations to Operators of High Risk Equipment
    • Gather accident and incident statistics and analyze tendencies
    • Reduce the risk factor based on the prior year’s results
    • Adhere and meet EHS norms, rules, and laws and regulations
    • Complete EHS walkthroughs and inspections
    • Administer certification and re-certification trainings (as applicable)
    • Perform registration of records related to their tasks in the SISPRO and RCA cards to analyze and perform preventive actions
    • Develop and follow up on the company’s ergonomic program
    • Develop drills and simulations in the plant along with a prevention system
    • Perform EHS Audits (Operations, Machinery and Maintenance to High Risk Equipment)
    • Execute written safety and health programs and policies.
    • Promote safety and health awareness through internal company memoranda, interaction with workforce, and specific training programs.
    • Understand Federal and State occupational safety and health regulations and monitor regulatory changes as they occur.
    • Participate in inspections, observations and investigations. Complete compliance reports as assigned.

    WHAT WILL THE RIGHT PERSON LOOK LIKE?

    The right person will have a minimum of 1-3 years of Manufacturing and/or Construction Safety experience in an industrial environment. They will have a working knowledge of OSHA Regulations, Process Safety Management Systems and experience in developing and implementing safety policies. The right person would also be very experienced with Microsoft and will have had some Training and Presentation experience.

    Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
