The Health and Safety (H&S) Manager is responsible for the implementation, control and compliance with Company and Federal Safety policies, procedures and regulations. The H&S Manager provides the knowledge and skills in order to generate and promote a positive health and safety culture within the workplace. This represents a key role in helping control occupational risk. The H&S Manager will be responsible for ensuring that all safety legislation is adhered to and policies and practices are adopted. The H&S Manager will develop and implement all aspects of environmental health and safety including all applicable regulatory, plant and corporate H&S related policies and procedures critical to the success of GSI Service Group Inc. |

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS | |
The minimum qualifications for the H&S Manager are:
• Certification as a Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or comparable certification. • BS in Safety or Industrial Hygiene, or 5-years related experience with H&S. • Familiarity with the EM385 1-1. • Knowledge of OSHA, EPA, Department of Defense (DoD), State environmental regulations, standards and permit requirements. • Strong leadership, managerial, technical, interpersonal and communication skills. • Excellent written and oral communications skills. • Strong command of MS Office suite of programs to include Word and Excel. • Must be able to work independently and have strong time management skills.
