Env., Health, and Safety Engineering Supervisor supervises engineers who develop, implement and maintain company policies adhering to local, state and federal environmental, health and safety regulations. Involved in the design and development of facilities, work areas and work procedures and makes environmental, health and safety recommendations accordingly. Being an Env., Health, and Safety Engineering Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the preparation, maintenance, and updating of environmental policy and procedure manuals. Ensures compliance with all environmental, health and safety regulations, and keeps abreast of any changes to laws and regulations that impact the organization. Additionally, Env., Health, and Safety Engineering Supervisor requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The Env., Health, and Safety Engineering Supervisor supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/ production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. To be an Env., Health, and Safety Engineering Supervisor typically requires 3-5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. Pay Range: Starting at $16.94
The base pay range is a good faith representation of current potential base pay for successful applicants. Shift differentials have been included in the range. Pay is determined by factors including experience, relevant qualifications, specialty, internal equity and contracts.
Minimum Education Requirement :
High school level of knowledge. Behavior Management training required within 6 months of hire.
Minimum Experience Requirement :
Minimum one year experience working with persons suffering from mental illness, alcoholism or substance abuse preferred. Observes confidentiality regarding protected health information. Demonstrates positive communication, posses tact, discretion, diplomacy and team work skills. Supports the decisions of the treatment team. Ability to work under stress, able to write legibly, document accurately. Must be able to communicate with patient observations to licensed and professional staff.
This is a non stationary position with movement constantly throughout the unit. Must be able to detect, perceive, observe, inspect, identify safety risks continuously amongst patients and staff and to communicate and exhange accurate information concerning these risks.
Good organizational, priority setting and communication skills. Must be self motivated, observant, conscious of safety concerns in the immediate environment, alert to small changes in behavior. Ability to recognize and intervene in potentially violent situations. Must demonstrate ability to effectively communicate, interact in a method that is appropriate for the age group to which the service is provided. Ability to move and lift supplies up to 75 pounds and to safely move, transport patients using safe handling equipment.
Minimum License Requirement :
BLS certification required or obtained within 3 months of hire/transfer.
