Env., Health, and Safety Generalist Manager designs, develops, implements and oversees the organization's environmental, health and safety programs and procedures to safeguard employees and surrounding communities. Administers policies and procedures that cover two or more functional areas in the environmental, health and safety job family. Being an Env., Health, and Safety Generalist Manager ensures employees in functional areas follow established procedures and comply with federal, state and local regulations. Requires a bachelor's degree. Additionally, Env., Health, and Safety Generalist Manager typically reports to a unit/department head. The Env., Health, and Safety Generalist Manager typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments.
