JOB DESCRIPTION
Title: Compliance Officer
Description: The Compliance Officer will work with all entities and ensure compliance with both local, state and federal regulations and permits.
Hours: Monday - Friday 8:00 am to 4:00 pm, Saturdays as needed
Reporting: Corporate Counsel
Requisites:

Education/Experience:
· Minimum high school diploma or general education degree (GED) required
· 3 years’ of experience performing inspection or investigation work related to State, federal or local regulation, code or standard compliance
· 3 years’ experience in the aggregate/mining industry preferred
· OSHA 30, preferred
Responsibilities:
· Maintain safety and environmental guidelines and policies
· Perform site inspections to ensure all permits and regulations are being adhered to
· Guide and train managers, foremen and staff with interpreting ordinances, technical specifications, and permit conditions
· Identify areas of concern and determine remedial actions
· Oversee all environmental projects to ensure proper and timely completion
· Accompany all inspectors on site visits
· Review, manage, respond to, and contest if applicable any issued violations from regulatory authority
· Maintain safe operations and compliance with Mine Safety and Health Administration and Occupational Safety and Health Administration regulations
· Provide trainings to employees as necessary
· Keep abreast of all federal, state and local regulations affecting all lines of business
