Environmental Compliance Specialist, Sr. conducts required environmental tests, analysis and observations. Evaluates results and makes recommendations as necessary for maintaining compliance with regulatory agencies. Being an Environmental Compliance Specialist, Sr. requires a bachelor's degree in a related area and at least 4 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. Additionally, Environmental Compliance Specialist, Sr. relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of complicated tasks. May direct and lead the work of others. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.     The NERC Compliance Engineer/Specialist will be part of a team responsible for ensuring that any engineering procedures/standards/practices are compliant with applicable reliability standards such as North American Electric Reliability Corporation (NERC), Northeast Power Coordinating Council (NPCC), etc.

    Minimum 5 years of regulatory experience in an electric utility, with experience and proficiency in NERC reliability compliance and familiarity with engineering related standards (mainly PRC and TPL or engineering related CIP standards).

    Position will be a full time, hybrid schedule position in Spring Valley, NY. Must be local to Spring Valley, NY.

    Will work directly with the end client.
