Groundwater & Environmental Services, Inc. (GES), an industry leader with a reputation for excellence in providing environmental consulting, engineering, compliance, and technical field services to clients in diverse market sectors, seeks an Environmental Field Technician to support fieldwork activities at a wide variety of remediation sites located throughout NJ. A company-issued vehicle is provided for travel to and from the Wall, NJ office to the sites.
Position Expectations:
- Executes, supervises, and documents field aspects of environmental monitoring and sampling of groundwater, which includes, but is not limited to:
o Performing groundwater sampling activities via low-flow, volume averaging or passive diffusion bag methods,

Gauging and bailing of separate phase product,
o Maintaining equipment calibration logs,
o Recording field notes to the specific task performed at each site location,
o Handling general maintenance duties,
o Following GES liquid level gauging and sampling policies and procedures,

Management of laboratory bottle ware, samples and chain of custody completion,
o Adhering to GES Health & Safety Standards in all field-related activities, and
o Reporting of all field data and activities to GES Project Manager.
Skills & Requirements:
- A High School diploma or Vocational School Certificate of completion or equivalent.
- Mechanical aptitude is preferred.
- OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER certification is a plus. OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER training will be provided if this certification is not yet earned. This certification is required to perform the duties of this position.
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule to support project needs, and be agreeable to outdoor work.
- Must have a strong work ethic and be detail oriented and a team player.
