ES ELECTRICAL & CONTROL TECHNICIAN | ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Fabricate and install environmental remediation/control equipment. Scope includes conduit, junction boxes, and branch circuits, cable/sensor assemblies, and communication/control panels.
Self-drive ongoing communication with the technical lead to ensure fabrication accuracy and quality and maintain project design documents.
Maintain vendor relationships and supply orders. Work with administration to ensure accounting accuracy of large supply orders.
Maintain work vehicle and shop area, tools, electrical instruments, etc., related to electrical and control fabrication.
Support the technical lead during programming of control logic and data communication.
Provide technical support to personnel who operate and maintain the equipment as needed.
ES ELECTRICAL & CONTROL TECHNICIAN | COMPETENCIES:
Self-drives communication with the project team
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Able to interpret mechanical and electrical schematics.
Knowledge of standard installation or wiring practices such as NFPA codes for commercial construction, UL guidance for control panels, or other industrial standards.
Knowledge of wire termination practices such as cable dismantling, circular connectors, and soldering.
Ability to plan large vendor orders from design documents.
Able to spend long periods in the field. New equipment fabrication could occur at any location and are often several months in duration.
Mechanical aptitude.
ES ELECTRICAL & CONTROL TECHNICIAN | EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Technical degree in electronics and/or electrical fabrication, and 4 years of experience in OEM equipment manufacturing or an industrial mechanical/electrical setting, or
A Bachelor of Science in a technical electronic field, such as digital communication.
Ability to obtain commercial driver’s license and pass a DOT physical.
Familiarity with AutoCAD software.
