Environmental, Health and Safety Director oversees organizational compliance with local, state and federal environment, health and safety regulations. Ensures that environmental policy and procedure manuals are available and updated at all times. Being an Environmental, Health and Safety Director ensures compliance with all environmental, health and safety regulations, and keeps abreast of any changes to laws and regulations that impact the organization. Ensures projects are completed on time and within budget. Additionally, Environmental, Health and Safety Director requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a unit/department head. The Environmental, Health and Safety Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function.     Overview:
    The Director of Environmental, Health & Safety will develop, coordinate, and implement occupational health policies and procedures to promote and ensure effective safety operations across Shoals and it’s production facilities.
    Responsibilities:
    • Developing and implementing workplace Safety, Health and Environmental policies and procedures in accordance with OSHA standards and reviewing existing policies and procedures to ensure they are up to date.
    • Providing personnel with safety-related information such as training sessions, emergency protocols, and proper use of safety equipment.
    • Overseeing the company's daily operations and identifying opportunities for improvement of safety regulations.
    • Performing safety audits and physically inspecting all work areas and jobsites to identify possible safety issues.
    • Conducting risk assessments to minimize workplace accidents, occupational illnesses or long-term health hazards.
    • Preparing monthly or annual safety reports and presenting the information to management.
    • Collaborating with management to plan and implement a safety protocol budget.
    Requirements:
    • A bachelor's degree in safety management, environmental safety, or a similar field.
    • A certificate in occupational health and safety management.
    • Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a safety director
    • Excellent knowledge of OSHA standards and federal safety legislation.
    • Solid knowledge of potentially hazardous materials or practices in the workplace.
    • Proficiency in conducting data analysis and reporting statistics.
    • Working knowledge of safety management software, such as iAuditor, SiteDocs, and Safesite.
    • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
    • Excellent supervisory and leadership skills.
