    Position Summary: As the Director of Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) for our U.S. Facilities, you will provide full-time leadership and direction, ensuring compliance with all environmental, health, safety, and radioactive material regulations. This role encompasses various operations, including small arms manufacturing, tactical training, retail, ammunition manufacturing, optics and sight manufacturing, and ancillary locations.

    Job Duties & Responsibilities:

    • Strategically lead EHS initiatives to uphold the company's proactive industry reputation.
    • Ensure continuous improvement in EHS performance while complying with regulations.
    • Chair or collaborate with internal and external teams/committees, contributing to the development of EHS-related missions, policies, and programs.
    • Act as a representative to external entities, including EHS federal, state, and local agencies, customers, suppliers, and industry groups.
    • Develop and implement EHS programs and policies in accordance with EPA, OSHA, and state and local regulations.
    • Provide technical expertise and support for all locations and departments on regulatory compliance in EHS.
    • Mentor the EHS team, standardizing protocols, procedures, and recordkeeping for success.
    • Review incident data to determine root causes, ensuring effective corrective actions.
    • Oversee workers' compensation programs and insurance administration for all U.S. Facilities.
    • Act as the corporate Radiation Safety Officer, ensuring compliance with NRC and State Radioactive Materials programs.
    • Coordinate hazardous waste management in compliance with RCRA and DOT regulations.
    • Serve as the Emergency Coordinator for various scenarios and act as the EHS point of contact for contracts.
    • Lead industrial hygiene monitoring and evaluate the effectiveness of personal protective equipment.
    • Manage EHS training programs, recordkeeping, and associated costs.
    • Implement environmental management plans and ensure the proper authoring of Safety Data Sheets (SDS).
    • Champion the company Performance System (SPS) Safety Lean Key as part of the management team.

    Who Will Be a Great Fit?  

    • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health & Safety or Safety Engineering with 10 years of relevant experience, or Master's degree with 8 years of relevant experience.
    • Experience with explosives/munitions in a manufacturing setting is essential.
    • Currently working at the Director level.
