Environmental, Health and Safety Director oversees organizational compliance with local, state and federal environment, health and safety regulations. Ensures that environmental policy and procedure manuals are available and updated at all times. Being an Environmental, Health and Safety Director ensures compliance with all environmental, health and safety regulations, and keeps abreast of any changes to laws and regulations that impact the organization. Ensures projects are completed on time and within budget. Additionally, Environmental, Health and Safety Director requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a unit/department head. The Environmental, Health and Safety Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function. This position can be based out of our corporate office in Lyman, Wyoming, Rock Springs or Evanston, Wyoming, Salt Lake City, Utah, or Platteville, Colorado.     Duties include but are not limited to:


    • Being available for business related communications and respond both promptly and professionally.
    • Providing advice and coaching on risk identification and mitigation strategies.
    • Creating and distributing project specific plans.
    • Coding bills and approving payment by Ap for safely related expenditures.
    • Providing invoice and safety services.
    • Creating a departmental fiscal budget.
    • Helping to identify and follow up with corrective actions.
    • Consult with managers, supervisors, HSE staff, subcontractors, customers, and regulatory agencies about safe work practices and challenges that arise daily.
    • Tracking and trending of all incidents.
    • Leading and actively participate in case management, incident investigations, root cause analysis, and review meetings.
    • Holding a weekly professional; development and communication meeting for the safety team.
    • Participating in a weekly Director with the GDC.
    • Visting remote office locations and reviewing compliance to company HSE policies and procedures and overall safety culture.
    • Supporting the needs of Area/Project HSE team members.
    • Participating in customer safety forums and contractor performance reviews.
    • Attending and participating annually in a Risk Control Workshop.
    • Participating in quarterly claims review.
    • Holding monthly MSHA and safety meetings.
    • Developing a yearly safety improvement plan and maintaining safety statistics.
    • Maintaining company OSHA 300 logs.
    • Conducting annual safety culture surveys to solicit feedback from all levels of employees.


    Experience:


    Required: 3 years in Safety, Regulatory Compliance, Industrial Hygiene, or another related field.

    Preferred: 5 years of leadership experience in a related field.


    Education:

    Required: Bachelor's degree in safety, Industrial Hygiene, Loss Prevention, Risk Management. Business Administration or related field or equivalent experience.

    Preferred: Master's degree in any of the fields referenced above.


    Salary
    : $80,000-$95,000 DOE.
