Job description – Accounts Receivable Specialist

Flotech Environmental is a fast-growing, leading, environmental service contractor specializing in the maintenance (jet-vac cleaning and CCTV pipeline inspection) and trenchless rehabilitation of storm and wastewater pipeline infrastructure throughout Florida. Our team of qualified and dedicated professionals have worked together for 20 years and provide a standard of excellence to agencies, municipalities, contractors, property management companies and engineering firms.

Flotech is searching for a star AR Specialist to join our HQ team in Miami, FL. This role is for a highly organized individual who thrives in a dynamic environment, while maintaining strong attention to detail, and tapping into problem solving skills to support the company’s growth and digitization objectives. As the AR Specialist, you will play a critical role in client communications, ensuring accurate revenue recognition, efficient billing processes, and collections.   

Responsibilities

• Perform timely and accurate client invoicing, ensuring adherence to company procedures and maximizing client satisfaction
• Maintain accounts receivable records daily to ensure aging report is current, credits and collections are applied, uncollectible amounts are accounted for
• Handle daily cash application duties, including the recording of bank deposits and applying payments to customer accounts
• Engage with customers weekly to request payments and resolve disputes, using both phone calls and emails to build client relationships
• Perform reconciliation of payments and customer accounts
• File Notice to Owner liens. Maintain record of all lien documents and filings
• Maintain detailed Accounts Receivable Aging Report to be reviewed with leadership weekly
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Operations and Accounting teams to ensure timely processing of invoices and collection of payments
• Exercise integrity and confidentiality in financial reporting
• Ad hoc projects, analysis, and reporting as needed
•  Reports to the AR Manager

Qualifications

• 3 years of experience in AR/billing for construction or contracting company
• Construction/Contracting experience is preferred
• Proficiency in GAAP accounting standards
• Bilingual (Professional English & Spanish) required
• Proficiency in MS Office and accounting software (QuickBooks, Foundation, preferred)
• Strong analytical and communication skills with attention to detail
• Professional references
