Overview of Position:
The EHS Manager is responsible for the implementation and maintenance of the Health and Safety programs within the Phoenix Global Safety Management System. Responsible for new hire site-specific safety orientation, coordination of on-site safety meetings, conducting safety training, supporting incident investigation efforts, and conducting and documenting on-site safety audits. Responsibilities also include promoting proactive and preventive safety activities by observing, analyzing, encouraging safe work behaviors and correcting unsafe conditions. Must ensure OSHA regulations, internal and customer safety policies, and procedures are being followed.
This role must also establish safety goals, reinforce safety policies and procedures, monitor safety metrics, and support and coach supervisors and employees. Providing feedback to encourage learning, monitoring safety compliance, creating awareness, and setting priorities that focus on continuous improvement in critical in this role.
