Environmental Services Coordinator coordinates and maintains company policies adhering to local, state and federal environmental, health and safety regulations. Inspects the work areas and work procedures and makes environmental, health and safety recommendations accordingly. Being an Environmental Services Coordinator maintains and updates environmental policy and procedure manuals. Ensures compliance with and trains employees on all environmental, health and safety regulations, and keeps abreast of any changes to laws and regulations that impact the organization. Additionally, Environmental Services Coordinator requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. To be an Environmental Services Coordinator typically requires 4 to 7 years of related experience. Contributes to moderately complex aspects of a project. Some College is preferred. 2 years supervisory experience preferred. CHEST certification required for all existing staff by 7/31/2019. New employees hired after 8/1/2016 required to have CHEST within 2 years of hire.
Position Overview:
As the Team Coordinator, ESD you will assist the manager in planning, organizing, supervising, coordinating and controlling the activities of the department functions which are necessary to maintain a clean and safe working environment. Participate in the work activities of assigned teams through providing assistance, serving as technical resource and participating in the work as a member of the team. Contributes to the success of the department through effective work coordination, management of resources, and participation in goal accomplishment. Support and communicates Sentara mission, values, goals, and directions to assigned team members.
