Equipment Director directs the management of company equipment including procurement activities, preventative maintenance, repair/replacement and safety assurance. Manages the records, licenses, inspections, warrantees, and service agreements for the organization's equipment and tools. Being an Equipment Director minimizes organizational cost through product standardization and tracking. Document and tracks equipment performance throughout the product lifetime. Additionally, Equipment Director requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to top management. The Equipment Director typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments. To be an Equipment Director typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience.     The Role

    Foley Equipment is the authorized Caterpillar dealer in Kansas and NW Missouri.

    Our Equipment Technician is primarily responsible for troubleshooting, servicing and repairing heavy machinery in the shop. This includes large and small earthmoving equipment.

    Hourly Base Rate: $22.43 - $53.09 / hour

    Job Duties:

      Perform all levels of repair and preventative maintenance on heavy machinery, diagnose and troubleshoot problems, make recommendations for repairs and perform critical repairs and adjustments
    • Remove and install parts, disassemble and assemble components, and test and adjust assemblies with minimal supervision
    • Test and verify correct operation of all repairs and adjustments
    • Develop and maintain long-lasting working relationships with customers
    • Travel is required for training and/or to assist at other locations.

    Our Ideal Candidate:

    • Basic mechanical knowledge including electrical and hydraulics
    • General knowledge of basic hand tools, air tools, precision measuring tools and instruments
    • Must be able to read and comprehend specifications, service and parts literature, technical bulletins and other related publications
