Equipment Engineer designs, develops, evaluates, and deploys manufacturing equipment, devices, and systems. Develops electrical control devices to convey materials and products throughout the manufacturing process. Being a Equipment Engineer integrates devices and instruments into the systems that measure and control environmental or material variations occurring during the manufacturing process. Ensures equipment and processes maintain throughput, yield, safety, and reliability objectives. Additionally, Equipment Engineer maintains an up-to-date knowledge of equipment vendors' changes, upgrades, and innovations. Prepares preventive maintenance plans and procedures for all equipment and provides technical support during maintenance or turnaround processes. Requires a bachelor's degree in engineering. Typically reports to a manager. The Equipment Engineer work is closely managed. Works on projects/matters of limited complexity in a support role.     Job Summary:

    This role will be responsible for providing top-tier technical expertise, ensuring the effective functioning of our IT infrastructure, and collaborating with internal teams and external partners.
     

    Principle Responsibilities:

    • Manage and support LAN, WAN, Microsoft, VMWare, and Networks in multi-site environments.
    • Oversee the implementation of best practices for infrastructure deployment and management.
    • Take ownership of escalated technical issues, providing timely and effective 3rd line support.
    • Resolve configuration and deployment issues, ensuring the smooth operation of core IT infrastructure.
    • Implement system monitoring and maintenance practices for optimal performance.
    • Ensure efficient operation of 3rd party applications across all platforms.
    • Conduct root cause analysis for any problems, providing comprehensive solutions.
    • Manage Microsoft Windows Endpoints (Windows 11, 10) and iOS devices.
    • Oversee Windows Server 2019/2016 and Virtualization Technologies (VMware, Citrix, or equivalent).
    • Execute seamless multi-site tenant/domain migrations, ensuring minimal disruption and efficient transition.
     

    Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

    • In-depth knowledge of related infrastructure technologies and landscape (hardware, software, network, security, etc.).
    • Demonstrated incident, problem, and escalation management for own area of responsibility with a strong customer focus.
    • Strong presentation and communication skills, interacting effectively with individuals or groups at varying levels of the organization.
     

    Education/Experience:

    • Bachelor’s degree in information technology or equivalent work experience required.
    • Minimum 7 years of related experience.
    • Certifications a plus (Azure fundamentals / SharePoint Administrator, Microsoft Modern Workplace).
    • Proven Azure experience a must.
    • History managing Microsoft Windows Endpoints (Windows 11, 10) and iOS devices.
    • Competent in Endpoint Management (Kandji, Jamf, Intune), Group Policy Management, Vulnerability Management, and Audit/Compliance.
    • Windows Server 2019/2016 and Virtualization Technologies (VMware, Citrix, or equivalent).
    • Experience in Thin Client and Windows Terminal Management is advantageous.
    • Proficiency in PowerShell scripting to automate and optimize tasks.
