    You’ll focus on:

    • Leads daily parts and service operations through positive and professional working relationships with peers, management, and support resources, that deliver a constant commitment to teamwork and exemplary customer service.
    • Champions recruitment, hiring, and training initiatives while collaborating with HR to identify and seize employee development opportunities.
    • Develops, communicates, enforces, and monitors effective Parts & Service Department processes to ensure internal and external customer satisfaction.
    • Execute Parts & Service department marketing plans to achieve departmental goals.
    • Works with the Corporate Parts/Corporate Service Manager to develop and follow an annual parts & service department budget to provide realistic, attainable, and measurable parts sales and profit goals.
    • Promotes and merchandises parts and accessories in conjunction with TNE/Simon marketing guidelines.
    • Maintains an accurate and effective parts inventory control system that includes a perpetual and/or annual physical inventory and proper counter procedures.
    • Ensures all parts warranty and return claims within the required time frame to receive maximum credit.
    • Partners with Corporate Parts Analyst to maximize the use of all order programs to achieve management stock order goals.
    • Assists with counter sales and after-hours calls to support customer needs, and answers incoming phone calls as needed and during peak on-call seasons.
    • Provide exceptional customer service by delivering quality and timely service for our customers.
    • Develop strong working relationships with our TNE customers to become their trusted partners for parts & service needs.
    • Maintain effective department processes to ensure internal and external customer satisfaction.
    • Focus on growth and profitable service department labor sales by building value in the marketplace.
    • Support True North Product Optimization initiatives.
    • Maintain a full-service delivery schedule for technicians and assign jobs according to their skills and knowledge.
    • Review work orders for completeness and accuracy, ensuring timely customer billing.
    • Ensure all department tools, equipment, and vehicles are in good working order.
    • Collaborate effectively with team members to streamline operations and enhance customer satisfaction.
    • Always adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to prevent accidents and ensure a secure working environment.
    • Communicate effectively with customers, providing clear explanations of repair procedures and addressing any concerns or questions they may have.
    • Demonstrate a commitment to continuous improvement by actively seeking feedback and implementing best practices in service delivery.
    • Remain updated on cutting-edge technology in small engines and compact tractors through continuous training and participation in professional development programs.
    • Maintain a positive and professional working relationship with peers, leadership, and support resources, with a constant commitment to teamwork and exemplary customer service.
    • Conduct yourself in the presence of customers and the community to present a professional image of True North Equipment
    • Perform all other duties as assigned by TNE leadership professionally and efficiently.

    What we are looking for:

    • 3 years of parts or service management/leadership experience required.
    • Technical background preferred.
    • Background in ag equipment dealer operations, or trucking/automotive industry operations preferred
    • Proficiency in standard computer applications such as Microsoft Office.
    • Basic understanding of financial principles relative to service and parts department operations.
    • Familiarity with John Deere equipment and systems is highly desirable.
    • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, while also functioning effectively as part of a team
    • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact professionally with customers and colleagues.
    • Excellent customer service skills
    • Must be able to work TNE service department hours as scheduled including seasonal hours and seasonal Saturdays, and maintain reliable attendance.
    • A valid driver's license and clean MVR are required to drive company-owned vehicles.
    • Candidates must have valid work authorization and be able to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship.
