ERP Programmer develops, reviews, and modifies the programming to support the configuration of the organization's Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) applications. Analyzes ERP system performance and encodes and debugs any issues or vulnerabilities to improve the integrity, security, or application of the system. Being an ERP Programmer develops coding to support the programming of new ERP modules and system upgrades and assists with the configuration planning and deployment of releases. Ensures ERP data and system infrastructure security, designs patches for vulnerabilities, and develops backup processes. Additionally, ERP Programmer plans and designs application tables, reports, and new modules to improve system configuration, functionality, and efficiency. Coordinates software integration and maintains technical documentation. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The ERP Programmer work is closely managed.     Job Summary

    Reporting to the Associate Director for Education and Public Outreach, the EdEon Programmer is responsible for the analysis, design, modification, installation and maintenance of application programs, integrated systems, and software solutions including websites and databases for EdEon grant-funded projects.

    Key Qualifications

    This position requires basic foundation of knowledge and skills in programming and analysis techniques. This foundation would normally be obtained through a bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, or related fields, or equivalent training and applied experience. The incumbent must be able to demonstrate a basic understanding of the standard principles and terminology associated with programming languages, systems, and databases; address common problems of limited scope; and demonstrate work-ready communication skills. Interest in designing, developing, and implementing instructional applications for use in high schools strongly preferred. Coursework in or experience in creating websites, WordPress, and Gatsby and upgrading at least one operating system preferred. Intermediate proficiency with computers, standard software packages, and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) required. Experience with Google Suite, PHP, C , Python, JavaScript, Logo, MySQL, Linux, Windows, and Mac OS and PeopleSoft preferred.

    Salary and Benefits

    Starting salary placement depends on qualifications and experience and is anticipated to be in the range of $3,713 to $5,525 a month. This is a full time temporary, non-exempt position. Reappointment to this position is dependent upon the individual's performance as well as administrative and budgetary considerations. The university reserves the right to terminate this appointment earlier than the scheduled expiration date.

    This position is eligible for a broad range of benefits, including medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurances, retirement (CalPERS), tuition waiver, vacation and sick leave. In addition, 15 paid holidays are offered each year and a Personal Holiday that may be taken any time during the year. Sonoma State University is also a Public Service Loan Forgiveness Program (PSLF) Employer.
