Dynetics, a Leidos company has a career opening for a Material Cost Estimating Manager located in the Huntsville, AL Area. The person in this role manages a team Material Cost Estimators that coordinates with Sourcing, Operations, Design Engineering, the Supply Base and Industry experts to facilitate the design, production, test and qualification of aerospace and defense products. The Material Cost Estimating Manager is responsible for coordinating subordinate employee recruitment, selection and training, performance

assessment, work assignments, salary, and recognition/disciplinary actions. The Material Cost Estimating Manager directs the analyses of technical data, engineering designs, preliminary specifications, manufacturing limitations, supplier facilities, and parts/equipment availability for material proposal bill of

material pricing. The Material Cost Estimating manager manages the facilitation of technical trade-offs and standardization that may lead to more economical procurement.

Primary Responsibilities

• Serve as a leader in the Material Operations & Strategy organization with oversight of Material Cost Estimating team. Lead team of direct reports.
• This role will also have job responsibilities associated with Supplier Management, Business Process Re-Engineering, and Procurement Tool deployments.
• The leader must have experience in pricing multi-level electronic and mechanical bill of materials, project planning, scheduling, coordination, with a demonstrated history of developing technical solutions that meet program requirements.
• -Selected candidate must have history of developing pBOMs, ROMs, and resource planning.
• Experience with supplier coordination including hardware and software selection, maintenance issues, and problem resolution. Experience in inventory planning, coordination, and tracking a plus.
• Collaborate within supply chain organization, across capture/program and technical leadership, and with suppliers to drive innovative supply chain and technical solutions that meet program requirements.

Basic Qualifications

• BS degree and 6 years of related experience or equivalent experience/combined education, with professional experience and specialized training commensurate with assignment. Additional years of experience may be used in lieu of a degree.

• Supplier Management, Material Pricing, Project Planning, and Proposal Strategy
• Strong understanding in acquisition of Electronic/Mechanical Hardware
• Demonstrated experience interfacing across multiple organizations and program
• Ability to work under tight time constraints
• Worked as a Team Lead/Leader in prior relevant prior assignment
• Technical/proposal writing experience
• Candidate must be a US Citizen and possess (and be able to maintain) a Final Secret Clearance or meet the eligibility to obtain (and maintain) a Secret Clearance.

Preferred Qualifications

• Manufacturing experience/background
• Supply Chain Management and/or engineering experience
• PMP and/or supply chain and procurement certifications
• Strategic thinking ability with tactical application of strategies for program execution
• Subcontracts/Procurement/Engineering/Supply Chain Experience
• Strong understanding of US Government acquisition laws and regulations (FAR)
• PowerBI or equivalent experience preferred
