Responsibilities:
- Analyze project plans, specifications, and other documents to prepare accurate cost estimates
- Collaborate with project managers, architects, and subcontractors to gather necessary information for estimating purposes
- Utilize industry-standard software such as HeavyBid to prepare detailed estimates
- Evaluate project scope and identify potential risks or challenges that may impact costs
- Research and analyze historical data to determine material, labor, and equipment costs
- Prepare and submit bid proposals to clients
- Negotiate pricing with subcontractors and suppliers
- Monitor project costs throughout the construction process and implement cost control measures as needed
- Collaborate with the construction management team to ensure accurate budgeting and forecasting
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in construction estimating, preferably in commercial or industrial projects
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and building codes
- Proficiency in using estimating software such as HeavyBid
