Researches and evaluates suppliers to ensure the availability of materials and confirm that materials meet the organization's standards of price and quality. Being an Estimator - Materials may need the ability to use CAD software and interpret technical documents such as blueprints or mechanical drawings. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Additionally, Estimator - Materials typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Estimator - Materials occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. Position includes sales and estimation of insulated concrete forms (ICF's), steel, and rebar. Local customer base, no travel. A construction or building materials background would be helpful. Will be working with AutoCAD and rebar software.
