Researches and evaluates suppliers to ensure the availability of materials and confirm that materials meet the organization's standards of price and quality. Being an Estimator - Materials may need the ability to use CAD software and interpret technical documents such as blueprints or mechanical drawings. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Additionally, Estimator - Materials typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Estimator - Materials occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. MBP is looking for an Estimator/ Lead Estimator in the US, with significant experience providing cost estimating on vertical and/or horizontal construction projects. Proficient with construction industry cost management software package(s). Additional experience in one or more of the following desired: construction management, CPM scheduling, value engineering, risk management, constructability review, claims analysis, and/or contract administration. Department of Energy experience required, preferably at Los Alamos National Laboratories. Occasional overnight travel may be required.
