Being an Estimator - Materials may need the ability to use CAD software and interpret technical documents such as blueprints or mechanical drawings. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Additionally, Estimator - Materials typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Estimator - Materials occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. We are currently seeking a Commercial Framing/Materials Estimator to join our growing team.
Job Responsibilities
As a Commercial Framing/Materials Estimator, you will need to have a background in building materials take-offs and plan comprehension, preferably in the light commercial segment (e.g. apartments, etc...). You will need to have accurate knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices and procedures within the building construction industry. Effective communication with the field and internal departments is mandatory for success in this position.
