United Ability, located in the Oxmoor area of Birmingham, is a program that provides a variety of services to adults with disabilities.  We are currently seeking candidates to join our team as a Community Integration Coach providing adults with disabilities the opportunity to enjoy various community activities.   If you are someone who has a passion for helping people, someone who is energetic, and someone who is career-oriented and looking for more than just a “job”, then you have found your calling.  Each day teaching and caring for these individuals will allow you to see how much your work matters!

Collaborating with other team members, you will:

• Plan, develop and carry out educational group outings in a variety of community settings for adults with disabilities
• Plan collaborate and implement community volunteer opportunities
• Create curriculum and train adults with disabilities on a variety of skills
• Transport adults into the community and oversee safety

Applicant general qualifications include:

• High school diploma or GED
• CPR/First Aid Red Cross certificate (will obtain on-site after employment)
• Valid driver’s license
• Successful completion of motor vehicle screening
• Ability to lift 50 pounds
