  • As the Director of Business Intelligence, you will be responsible for the implementation of using and driving data-driven, decision-making processes within the company. Collecting, analyzing, and interpreting data to provide actionable insights and strategic recommendations across all departments. You will report directly to the Chief Financial Officer.

    In this role you will:

    • Collaborate with executive leadership to develop and implement a comprehensive BI strategy aligned with organizational goals and objectives.
    • Define key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure the effectiveness of business processes and drive continuous improvement.
    • Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence.
    • Establish and maintain data governance policies, procedures, and standards to ensure the accuracy, consistency, and security of data assets.
    • Oversee the design and implementation of data integration, storage, and retrieval processes to support BI initiatives.
    • Conduct in-depth analysis of internal and external data sources to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for business growth and optimization.
    • Translate complex data sets into meaningful insights and actionable recommendations for stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
    • Evaluate, select, and implement BI tools and technologies to enhance data visualization, reporting, and analytics capabilities.
    • Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices in BI and analytics, recommending new tools and methodologies to drive innovation and efficiency.
    • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including Sales, Marketing, IT, Finance, and Operations to understand their data needs and deliver relevant insights.
    • Partner with IT and other departments to ensure the integration and alignment of BI initiatives with overall business objectives.
    • Develop and maintain dashboards, scorecards, and reports to monitor performance against KPIs and provide regular updates to executive leadership and key stakeholders.
    • Identify opportunities for process optimization and performance improvement based on data-driven insights.
    • Consult, translate, analyze data associated with acquisitions.

    Requirements:

    • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field or any combination of education and experience.
    • 5 plus years of proven experience in a leadership role overseeing BI, data analytics, or related functions within a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
    • Deep understanding of data warehousing, data modeling, ETL processes, and data visualization techniques.
    • Proficiency in SQL, Python and Excel required
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to derive insights from complex data sets and communicate findings effectively to diverse audiences.
    • Excellent leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills, with a track record of building and motivating high-performing teams.
    • Experience working with Apache Airflow, Snowflake and Power BI a plus
    • Knowledge of industry-specific regulations and compliance requirements related to data privacy and security (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA).
    • Requires occasional travel for 20% of the position, sometimes overnight or multiple days.
    • Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
