Principal Duty

The principal duty of the Head of Systems Integration Management is to lead, manage and develop Systems Integration Managers (SIMs) to ensure all TGW projects on final acceptance are achieving the committed functionality, performance, and availability of the solution. This role is a combination of player/coach leading the team while also actively engaged in SIM activities.

Tasks and Responsibilities

• Directly manage the SIM team, including
  • technical development of SIMs, including annual PDPs
  • technical guidance and direction
  • responsibility for organizational structure
  • responsibility for creating and maintaining the department budget
• Take responsibility to ensure the proposed solution is feasible to promote project success and to protect TGW from unnecessary risks
• Define growth criteria (with CSO) and execute the plan to achieve planned head count, quality, and organizational structure
• Initiate and support the hiring process for new employees, conducting interviews and selecting applicants
• Provide ongoing resource planning for current and forecasted projects
• Provide project management services and support as necessary
• Support and contribute to TGW’s strategic goals and have active participation in cross-departmental initiatives
• Define (with CSO) and implement key initiatives to improve operational excellence
• Provide great customer service, while still protecting TGW, such that each customer selects TGW as a partner of choice
• Uphold and promote TGW’s values and ensure that all employees act according to the values

Requirements Profile

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering - Minimum 5 years of material handling systems experience
• Prior experience leading small teams of engineers
• Excellent oral and written communication skills, including creating and delivering presentations
• Comfortable discussing complex and technical ideas with clients
• Ability to build collaborative relationships
• Excellent problem solving skills
• Advanced abilities in MS applications: Excel, PowerPivot, Word, Visio and PowerPoint
• Basic knowledge in AutoCAD
• Ability to collect, maintain and analyze data and present conclusions and recommendations
• Experience with Python preferred
• Experience using simulation as a validation tool
• Experience interacting with AutoMod and Siemens Plant Simulation preferred
• Ability to analyze and understand customer business processes with good overall knowledge of automated distribution centers from the mechatronic elements up to the high level software
• Advanced knowledge and expertise of TGW’s standards in solution design, mechatronic design, controls and software integration
• Analytical, strategic, solutions-oriented mindset
• Willingness to mentor new team members
• Able to work in a multi-disciplinary and intercultural experts network
• Willingness to travel domestically (less than 20%) and internationally (occasionally)
