Join our team. #CloroxIsThePlace Your role at Clorox: Pay Rate: $34.13 Shift: Monday to Friday (6:00 AM to 2:30 PM) We are seeking a detail oriented and proactive Material Planner to join The Food BU Material & Scheduling Management Team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the timely and efficient supply of materials required for production at our Reno, NV facility. This role involves close collaboration with various departments to align material requirements with production schedules, manage inventory levels, and optimize supply chain processes. This position is considered a safety-sensitive position, meaning, a lapse of attention could adversely affect the safety of others by resulting in injury, illness, or death, including without limitation a position that includes the operating, repairing, maintaining, or monitoring of heavy equipment, machinery, or operation motorized vehicle. In this role, you will: Collaborate with BU Network Schedulers to align material requirements with production schedules. Identify and source materials required for production. Issue purchase orders and ensure timely delivery of materials to meet production schedules. Implement inventory control measures to optimize stock levels and minimize carrying costs. Develop and maintain inventory management systems and procedures. Provide input on material availability and lead times for production planning purposes. Anticipate demand fluctuations and adjust inventory levels accordingly. Coordinating with suppliers and ensuring timely delivery of materials. Driving continuous improvement initiatives within the supply chain and material planning processes What we look for: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to identify potential supply chain issues and implement effective solutions to mitigate risks. Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal abilities. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite, Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems such as SAP, Oracle, or similar platforms for material planning. Ability to anticipate and adapt to changing production demands. Ability to work in fast-pace manufacturing environment. Requires occasional overtime to meet production demands Years and Type of Experience: 2 to 3 year of previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment Experience working closely with production, procurement, and logistics teams to align material requirements with production schedules. Experience in material planning, inventory management, or a similar role. Education Level/Degree: Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Business Administration, or a related field preferred; equivalent work experience will also be considered. Eligibility Criteria (Internal Applicants ONLY) Must be in “good standing” with the company, any written warning or above are not eligible to apply. Minimum of twelve (12) months in your current department and have a minimum of six (6) months in your current position after skill block is sign-off. If not signed off within the department the twelv e (12) months criteria is the only criteria that must be met. Shift Transfers must meet twelve (12) months in the department and shift.
