Responsible for overseeing and directing staff in the Association office, including screening and acquiring prospective office staff, communicating Association activities and positions to members and the Board, addressing member issues, interacts with and manages foreign coordinators, coordinates and communicates strategies between Association’s legal counsel, lobbyists, government departments, industry partners, and the Association’s Board of Directors, and proactively promotes, leads and coordinates the Association’s mission to insure the sustainability of the H-2A program including the Range Production of Livestock Provisions.
Essential Functions and Basic Duties
1. Assumes responsibility for accurate, efficient, and effective office protocols and management.
2. Acquire a strong knowledge of the H-2A Guest Worker Program.
3. Initiate a regular “stakeholder” communication between Western Range, Mountain Plains, Snake River Farmers, National Council of Ag Employers as well as other industry partners.
4. Develop and execute financial budgets in an effort to make the Association cost efficient, as well as, cost effective for members.
5. Contract, coordinate, and oversee proper reviews of financial information. Providing reviewed or audited Financial Statements to the Board of Directors, on a basis consistent with the Bylaws of the Association, thereby meeting the desires and needs of the Executive Committee.
6. Assumes and maintains the desire and ability to proactively direct the affairs of the Association, while effectively communicating and coordinating with management, counsel, government departments, and industry partners.
7. Provide Education and training on sound HR practices and compliance within the H-2A regulation
8. Assumes responsibility for related duties as required or assigned.
