Responsibilities:
- Create, prepare and bake a wide variety of pastries and desserts according to recipes and quality standards
- Decorate pastries using various techniques to enhance their visual appeal
- Ensure that all baked goods are consistently produced to meet customer expectations
- Monitor inventory levels of baking ingredients and notify the supervisor when supplies need to be replenished
- Collaborate with other members of the culinary team to develop new pastry recipes and menu items
- Assist with food production for catering events or special occasions as needed
- Provide excellent customer service by promptly addressing customer inquiries or concerns
Qualifications:
- Previous experience working as a Pastry Chef or in a similar role in the food industry
- Knowledge of baking techniques, pastry production methods, and food safety regulations
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow recipes accurately
- Excellent time management skills to ensure timely completion of tasks
- Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment while maintaining high quality standards
- Proficiency in using kitchen equipment such as mixers, ovens, and knives
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively as part of a team
