Executive Response Specialist provides timely resolutions to customer complaints that have escalated to the highest level within the organization. Coordinates with product/service suppliers and/or contact center staff to research and determine validity of complaints and evaluate options to remedy these complaints. Being an Executive Response Specialist reviews the underlying facts of the complaint, determines an appropriate solution, and delivers the response to the customer. Requires a thorough knowledge of the products/services offered, well developed customer service skills, and clear understanding of the company's policy regarding complaints. Additionally, Executive Response Specialist exercises a large degree individual discretion and judgement. Tracks complaints and makes recommendations to management designed to reduce the number of complaints. May require a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Executive Response Specialist gains exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function. Occasionally directed in several aspects of the work.     The Wisconsin Department of Justice (DOJ), Division of Criminal Investigation (DCI), is looking for highly motivated and talented individuals to join our team. DOJ is currently recruiting for a Crime Response Specialist (Program and Policy Analyst-Advanced) to join the Special Operations Bureau. This position can be located at the Risser Justice Center in Madison or the Appleton Field Office. DCI positions are not eligible for remote work.     Position Summary

    This position provides program planning, development, implementation, and analysis to DCI’s crime response program, which provides on-scene crisis intervention to various incidents such as officer involved critical incidents, fires/explosions, death investigations, missing children, and other significant events in support of DCI and other law enforcement agencies and criminal justice partners. This position also provides program planning, development, implementation, and analysis to DCI’s technology facilitated crime against children response program, which provides on-scene crisis intervention to child victims and their families throughout Wisconsin.
    This position works closely with DCI personnel, criminal justice partners, ICAC program staff, ICAC affiliate agencies, local early crime response programs, and a multitude of others to enhance existing crime response program services, supportive resources, and referrals as soon as possible following an incident. This position will plan, evaluate, and make recommendations of available resources to support individuals and their families who have suffered technology-facilitated crime impacts, including assistance with removal of child sexual abuse material (CSAM) online and will make available crisis intervention services for individuals who have suffered traumatic crime impact. This position will also assist with the online safety awareness and outreach program to make Wisconsin residents aware of resources and support.
    In addition, this position performs program support, research, and data analysis activities in support of crime response program services. This position must maintain a detailed understanding of law enforcement policies, operations, and government programs to be able to be prepared to offer recommendations; compile and prepare statistical reports and evaluate the ease of use of these programs for those individuals impacted by crime. This position is a subject matter expert in crime response program services and will consult with and advise DCI leadership on program-related issues ranging in scope from specific technical issues to broad public policy issues.
    Salary Information

    The Crime Response Specialist position is in pay schedule 07 and pay range 03. The starting pay will be between $35.00 and $43.46/hour. An add-on of up to $1.00/hour. may be available for candidates who are bilingual. Pay for current or former state employees will follow the provisions found in the State of Wisconsin Compensation Plan. A 12-month probationary period may be required.
    Job Details

    SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
    This position works a varied schedule that may require night, weekend, and holiday hours. Work assignments require the ability to travel statewide including overnight stays, work during traditional off hours, and often requires response to assignments on short notice. This position is part of a compensated on-call rotation ensuring resources are available 24/7.
    The Department of Justice does not sponsor work visas at the time of hire or anytime during employment. All persons hired will be required to verify identity and eligibility to work in the United States and complete the required Employment Eligibility Form I-9.
    An extensive background check, including fingerprints, drug screening and psychological will be completed on all DCI applicants prior to selection.
    Qualifications

    Minimally qualified applicants must have education, training and/or experience in the following: Experience working with victims, crisis responses, and the impact of trauma. Experience working with governmental and community-based resources and providing referrals for services as needed (financial resources, legal assistance, safety, and security, etc.) Providing advocacy in the criminal justice system. Performing liaison work between various professionals within governmental and community-based agencies. Communicating policies, procedures, and processes to various audiences. Working well with a team or independently.
    In addition to the minimum qualifications, a well-qualified applicant will also have a combination of the following: Formal education in psychology, sociology, social work, counseling, education, or related field. Specialized training and/or experience providing program information to vulnerable populations. Effective program planning, organization, and project management. Working calmly and efficiently in challenging circumstances. Direct crime victim service assistance within the criminal justice system. Serving in an on-call capacity.
