Exercise Specialist identifies risk factors and designs specialized strength and conditioning programs for patients. Teaches patients proper exercise techniques. Being an Exercise Specialist educates patient and family members on proper techniques for transitioning from a hospital-based fitness program to a safe and effective home exercise program. Typically requires a bachelor's degree in exercise science. Additionally, Exercise Specialist typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Exercise Specialist occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. Gaining exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function. Echo/Vascular Technician
Position: Requires considerable technical ability, experience and judgement to perform cardiovascular ultrasound and evaluate the quality of data for Cardiologist interpretation. Must have substantial knowledge and understanding of cardiovascular disease, dynamics of blood flow, doppler and color flow imaging techniques. Expected to have a detailed understanding of ultrasound instrumentation, cardiovascular physiology and pathology, hemodynamics and the ability to relate these findings into clinically meaningful data.
Requirements: Education: Proof of Registry in echocardiography with appropriate credentials: RDCS, RCS, RVS, RVT, RDMS, through ARDMS or CCI.
Experience: Minimum of one (1) year of full time experience in cardiac ultrasound. Must have considerable experience performing routine echoes including colorflow, pulsewave and continuous wave doppler, stress, echo, pharmacologic stress. Vascular experience a must. Also experience using contrast echo agents. Able to perform vascular studies, carotid, arterial, venous, aorta/iliac, renal ultrasound.
License: Registrations or Certifications current American Heart Association CPR certification.
Work Type: Full Time Monday Thursday 8:00am to 5:00pm Friday 8:00am to 2:00pm.
