Pitt-Bradford is looking for a self-directed professional with a strong creative vision to lead the university's 3,400 square-foot Art Deco exhibition space celebrating the craft of Opera and the achievements of renowned diva and Bradford-native Marilyn Horne.
This full-time, 12-month, majority independent position is supported by the Director of Arts Programming.
Hiring Range: $39,000 - $45,000/year

Manages of all activities of a University Museum & Exhibit Center and oversees the collection and archives. Directs the advancement of the unit's efforts in education, programming, development, fundraising, communication, and outreach as well as directs the curatorial, operational, administrative, financial and personnel responsibilities for the programs. Works with artists to curate program content and creates and promotes highly effective, guest-centric services.
The essential functions of the position are: the physical ability to give daily tours to visitors and school groups which includes maneuvering though the exhibit space and discussing the exhibit and answer questions; the ability to remove and add pieces from the archives during each rotation cycle of the exhibit. Frequency of this would most likely be annually or bi-annually; the knowledge to perform daily administrative tasks in order to ensure the successful financial success of the center. The ability to manage and move items from the museum store. These responsibilities are solely of the person accepting the position and will need the experience level as stated above in order to perform them.
Position will include - sitting, standing, walking, bending, reaching, pushing and pulling to work in the office, give tours, manage inventory, and rotate the exhibits.
