Exploration Director directs and develops an organization's oil and gas exploration projects. Analyzes and evaluates the opportunities, risk and profits for oil and gas deposits exploration. Being an Exploration Director initiates exploration plans based on compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. Directs geological and geophysical programs and may have oversight for land acquisition and leasing activities. Additionally, Exploration Director requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to top management. The Exploration Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function. To be an Exploration Director typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience. Manufacturing Career Exploration Program

  • Chief Buildings is currently seeking candidates for our Manufacturing Career Exploration Program. The purpose of this program is to provide insight and exposure to some of the day-to-day tasks performed in our manufacturing operation at Chief Buildings. Your participation in this program allows management staff at Chief an opportunity to identify your individual skills and strengths in order to determine if you are the right fit for a manufacturing career with Chief.

    THIS IS A PAID 12 HOUR PROGRAM. Participants will receive $300 upon completion of the course. Additionally, participants who complete the program and apply for a job with Chief Buildings will receive a $500 Sign-On Bonus if they are hired and accept a position with us.

    The Program consists of:

    • An introductory session involving our manufacturing opportunities at Chief Buildings. These sessions will be held on Tuesday, April 18 and Thursday, April 20 at 5:30 PM. Applicants need only attend one of the two sessions, as the same information will be presented in both sessions.
    • Two training sessions covering metal building manufacturing processes. These sessions will each be four hours long, and will be held on Saturday, April 22 and Saturday, April 29 from 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM. Attendance at both of these sessions will be required for successful completion of the program.
    • Completion of assigned tests and coursework.
    • A two hour job shadow session at Chief Buildings Plant.
    • Interviews for those who decide to apply for a manufacturing position with Chief Buildings upon completion of the program.


    Qualifications and Skill Requirements:

    • Basic computer and writing skills.
    • Basic math skills including fractions and decimals.
    • Have a basic understanding of hand tools including tape measure, squares, protractors is a plus.
    • Performs all duties in safe and efficient manner. Organized, keeps work area neat and orderly.
    • Capable of lifting 70 pounds.
    • Capable of working with minimal supervision.
