2 YEARS FORKLIFT EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Includes, but not limited to....

· Perform checklist on forklift each day before using as required by truck shop.

· Move Boards and beams off of blocks and stack on runners. Pull tickets on packages to match with copy in sales office.

· Maintains and promotes awareness of safe working conditions and practices by following all policies and procedures. Caution others, as necessary, in working in a safe manner.

· Keep eye on truck drive when loading onto truck.

· Verbally reports any unusual conditions to Sawmill manager.

· Performs routine corrective maintenance or reports to maintenance supervisor.

· Performs other duties and tasks as assigned by supervisor.

· Must be able to perform within a team environment.

QUALIFICATIONS

Shipping and packaging experience preferred

· Must be willing to attend grade classes to acquire grade knowledge if applicable.

· Must be self-motivated and able to perform assigned duties with little supervision.

· Good verbal communication skills.

· Good analysis / problem solving skills.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

This position has no supervisory responsibilities. Make sure all beams are put on truck and report any damaged beams to Lamplant manager.

The employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms and talk or hear and able to push or pull up to 100 pounds. Regularly, the employee is required to go up and down stairs, stand and use hands to finger. Intermittently employee is required to handle or feel, pull/push and stoop, kneel, or crouch. This position requires close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, the ability to adjust focus.

This position works in a loud inside environment. This position will regularly be working near moving mechanical parts and be exposed to fumes or airborne particles.
