Facilities Director manages the maintenance, construction, repair, and refurbishment operations of one or more facilities or properties. Implements policies and procedures that ensure the optimal functioning of buildings, grounds, and associated equipment. Being a Facilities Director monitors daily building operations of all systems, including mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, safety, and waste management to ensure reliability. Tracks work orders for quality, adherence to service standards, and budgeted guidelines. Additionally, Facilities Director directs training of managers, supervisors, and employees in best practices for maintenance work, service and safety standards, and local laws and regulations. Oversees vendors or contractors engaged for construction projects. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Facilities Director typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. To be a Facilities Director typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience. Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments. Quality Control Technician, 3rd Shift

  • As a 3rd Shift Quality Control Technician, you will preform quality tests on raw materials, in-process samples, and finished goods. You will report to a Quality Manager and work onsite at our Adrian, MI plant. This shift is 11pm to 7:30am.

    Main Responsibilities:

    • Perform QC testing of incoming production samples
    • Communicate with production, quality control and technical associates
    • Ensure that all products and raw materials tested meet PPG Quality standards
    • Input data/results into various electronic databases
    • Test Finished Goods over a time period - recheck viscosity program
    • Remove & recycle older samples into scrap containers
    • Provide batch adjustment information to associates by walking through the production area

    Qualifications:

    • High School Diploma required
    • Ability to lift 25 lbs. required
    • Basic math skills and computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook required
    • 1 year of practical laboratory knowledge and/or experience preferred
    • Must be willing to work overtime and weekends when necessary

    • High School / GED
