Facilities Planner plans building or refurbishment projects focused on effectively utilizing spaces and resources to support the organization's physical facility and space needs. Conducts evaluations of current facilities to assess short-term and long-term space needs and produce feasibility studies. Being a Facilities Planner prepares and reviews designs, layout plans, specifications, and standards that comply with building regulations, industry best practices, and organizational requirements. Estimates costs for labor, materials, and services. Additionally, Facilities Planner generates, monitors, and updates project plans and timelines with task details, deliverables, and status updates. Coordinates construction and installation processes and expedites delivery of materials required by projects. May require a bachelor's degree or equivalent. Typically reports to a manager. The Facilities Planner occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. Gaining exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function. About the Role:
Planners are responsible for workforce planning of field operations and work closely with the technicians, supervisors, and managers in the local communities Windstream serves. Planners may handle multiple communities and are often responsible for workforce of around 75 to 100 technicians.
What You'll Do:
- Review, monitor and adjust field operation technician daily tasks to ensure all commitment times are met.
- Build close working relationships with field technicians, supervisors, and managers to maintain and improve dispatch performance and efficiency.
- Oversee technician routes to ensure optimal use of time, manage capacity requirements, and communicate with technicians and local managers to ensure compliance and productivity.
- Work with field personnel to update tech calendars and manage work zones.
- Analyze failed tasks, provide system administration, and correct tasks interface errors.
- Assist customers with questions regarding their tasks.
- Contact customers to reschedule appointments or respond to escalations.
- Other duties as assigned.

This is a virtual/work from home position. Windstream requires employees working virtually to maintain a distraction-free workspace with sufficient high speed internet access of 25 MBPS or higher.
Minimum Requirements:
High School diploma or equivalent and 5 years experience with 3 years directly related to the job. College hours or a college degree may be substituted for some experience as deemed appropriate.
